Dear Darshana-Team, at the end of february we came back from a wonderful vacation in Sri Lanka, we would like to thank you all for the good organisation. Having you Kali as our guide was a great pleasure, you show us this beautiful country and let us taste great local food, beautiful temple, lots of animals and relaxing nature. We liked your pit stops to catch some local sweets to taste during our bus transfer. Everything was top organised and the guide and driver had always a smile on their faces. Kali was always caring about our group and the children loved you too, we felt save and protected, you always had a good recommendation for us. It was really sad to let him go as we arrived at Talalla Retreat, it was a great experience for all of us. Many thanks also to our friendly driver Ajid, it was a great pleasure to be with you on the bus. Togheter you are a great team! We've recently returned from a 22 day holiday in Sri Lanka. Wow what a fabulous experience, it is the first time we have hired a private driver. We booked this with Darshana Tours. We had our own itinerary which I sent to Darshana, he looked it over and organised everything from airport pickup to hotels and excursion tickets. Everything went like clockwork. Our driver Yudi was brilliant, he went above and beyond our expectations. By the end of the fortnight he had become a friend. He added extra visits to places not on our itinerary, so much time was saved having Yudi take us everywhere. We couldn't possibly have done everything we did on our own. Nothing was too much trouble even when we were setting off at 4am for certain trips he was there with a smile on his face. At the end of the fortnight Yudi dropped us off at our beach hotel, we were sorry to see him go.We liked the fact that Darshana kept in touch by WhatsApp throughout the 14 days making sure we were happy with everything. If you are thinking of going to Sri Lanka we would definitely recommend you speak to Darshana. He will be happy to accommodate you with whatever you want.

Darshana was prepared to let us book our own hotels, which we prefer. Most operators do not allow this. He provided a comfortable minibus (even though there were only 2 of us) with a driver/ guide and suggested extra visits to add to our planned itinerary Roshan our driver/guide added so much to the enjoyment of our holiday. He was friendly, enthusiastic and always cheerful. He copied well with the wishes of a couple in their 60 's, no doubt different from his usual younger guests! He proved excellent at spotting birds and animals, and has kept us well supplied with photos and videos of our trip We would definitely recommend this company The dropdown has given 7 days and i can't amend this. We actually spent 16 days: cultural triangle, Sigirya rock, Kandy and the hill contry, Bundala NP beach, Galle and Colombo

I cant recommend this company highly enough! I selected Darshana Tours through Tripadvisor reviews. Darshana was always efficient and answered all my questions quickly. we were in communication for quite a long time before we actually committed to book the tour as we were a little unsure of which country to travel to; whether to go via a Uk agent or to take a gamble, but hopefully get a more individualised experience with a local operator. I am so glad we chose the latter option. On arrival, our driver, Hashu was waiting for us at the airport with flower garlands, and took us to our hotel. Our adventure started the next day, with the itinerary suggested by Darshana. We visited some amazing places (Negombo, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Yala) and the hotels (booked by Darshana) met our expectations. Hashu, our driver, was a lovely young man, who drove slowly and safely, and by the end of the trip, he felt part of our family. He was always polite and with a good sense of humour. He took lots of photos and videos which he then sent to us (which meant we could concentrate on the experiences). He showed us his beautiful country with pride and made sure that we saw something of the real Sri Lanka and not just tourist places. Hashu was a credit to his company. I will definitely use again if we are lucky enough to be able to return to this beautiful country.

We arrived on march 1st, the next day Heshan (our driver for the week) picked us up in Negombo. Heshan has listened very well to our ideas and how to make the most of our trip. He is very polite, friendly, knows a lot about places to visit. We enjoyed the stories about life in Sri Lanka, tasting food at a local foodhall. Visiting the vegetable market, buying some fruits for us to taste,makes the trip more special. He kept an eye on us in a very nice way so we always felt save. We could always text him asking questions and always showed us which way to go. He even arranged train tickets even though this was after our 1 week tour. One day he suggested by the end of the day just to check if maybe the wild elephants were crossing the road. We were lucky to see them. So we recommend Darshana Tours and especially Heshan as your driver. You will have a great tour for sure!

The BEST trip we've ever had. Apr 2023 If I could leave more stars I would - the BEST way to see Sri Lanka. I can honestly say that booking Darshana tours was one of the biggest factors that made our time in Sri Lanka so special. I found Darshana Tours through Trip Advisor and could already see they had great reviews with people rating their friendliness, excellent transport vehicles and overall service. The excellent reviews weren’t wrong.The next thing I knew we had a full itinerary planned, and every day was jammed with things to do / places to see. Hotels were all booked & transport taken care of. Not only had Darshana included everything we wanted to do, he added in so much more which is exactly why using a local company has so many benefits. They know the best routes, times to visit certain places & the best lunch spots (more on that in a minute). Which brings me on to Suneth - our incredible driver who I can’t speak highly enough of. From the moment we met Suneth he was so warm and welcoming. His English was excellent and as I’ve said above he would always go the extra mile to do anything at all to enhance our trip. Suneth was always so accommodating, constantly checking if we were ok or if we needed to stop for water / snacks etc. Whatever we needed Suneth had usually already thought of it or he would sort it for us instantly. He strikes the perfect balance between being a total professional but also making you feel relaxed and welcome. Suneth was also a great driver on our trip - I’m a nervous passenger at the best of times & Sri Lanka’s roads are a ‘little different’ to the UK. It was a bit of a shock at first seeing how people drive - but I felt completely safe & relaxed enough that I slept for large parts of the journeys between hotels or activities. That may not sound like much to some but trust me - I never sleep in the car unless I feel truly comfortable. We were also really happy with the car itself - fully air conditioned and super comfortable to be transported in. Again it may sound like a small detail but the air con made a huge difference to our comfort. Sri Lanka is so hot and humid, it was often a much welcomed relief when we got back to the car from an activity to cool down. Cannot recommend Darshana Tours enough. We are already planning our next trip and we won't be using anyone else.
